Widney Alumni House
USC’s first building was constructed in 1880 at a cost of $5,000. Two days after its completion, the university’s first cadre of 53 students began attending classes there. Since then, Widney Alumni House has housed a diverse array of programs, undergone numerous renovations and been moved three times. It now provides a headquarters for the USC Alumni Association and a focal point for the University Park campus’s main entrance, at the end of Pardee Way. (photo by Philip Channing)
