Joint Educational Project House
This two-story house, purchased by the university in 1905, served for a time as a residence for USC’s fourth president, George Finley Bovard, and his family. In 1976, it became headquarters for the USC Joint Educational Project (JEP), which links students’ academic learning with experiences in the urban community. JEP is recognized today as one of the oldest and best-organized service-learning programs in the United States. (photo by Philip Channing)
